LUNE main lounge — moon pendants over caramel velvet booths
A FOREIGNER'S GUIDE

How to Play at LUNE

A step-by-step walk-through of a night at our Roppongi lounge — so you know exactly what to expect before you arrive.

Tokyo nightlife has its own etiquette, and most foreigners just want to know "what actually happens?" before they book. Here's the whole flow at LUNE — no surprises, no awkwardness.

The flow of a night

  1. Hand holding a phone showing the LUNE reservation page, candle and caramel velvet booth in the background
    Before visit

    Reserve in advance

LUNE is by reservation only — walk-ins are not accepted. Book via Telegram, email, phone or our reservation form. We host only 3 parties per night, so a quiet, unhurried atmosphere is guaranteed.

  2. Inside a luxury elevator with 6F & 7F floor buttons glowing, doors opening to a warmly lit hallway
    On arrival

Arrive at Power House Roppongi (6F & 7F)

Take the elevator to the 6th or 7th floor. Tell reception your name and you'll be guided straight to your private suite. No queueing on a busy floor, no scoping out where to sit.

  3. Three elegantly dressed cast members viewed from behind around a marble table in a private suite
    First 15–20 min

Meet a few of your hosts

Hosts rotate between suites every 15–20 minutes — over a 60-minute visit you'll typically meet 3–4 different hosts. This is intentional: you get to find someone you genuinely click with.

  4. An elegant hand pouring champagne into a flute at a private-suite marble table
    All nightIncluded

    Drink at your own pace

House drinks are unlimited during your booked time — beer, highballs, cocktails, soft drinks. Want to share a drink with a host? That's a separate "cast drink" charge. Want a premium bottle? Order from the bottle menu.

  5. Private karaoke suite with flat-screen display on a walnut wall and a slim microphone on the table
    Every suiteIncluded

    Sing if you want

Karaoke is included and free to use in every suite. Whether you and your hosts sing duets or just leave the mic on the table all night is up to you.

  6. Two silhouettes in quiet conversation under a brass pendant lamp
    AnytimeOptional

    Like someone? Nominate them.

If you'd like to keep one specific host with you the whole time instead of having them rotate, that's called nomination (指名). It's available at any time during your visit — just tell your host or staff. There's an additional charge.

  7. Leather check folder and a half-finished drink on a marble table at the end of the evening
    At the end

    Pay at the end

No prepayment, no card upfront. We add up your bill at the end — base ¥18,000/hour per person plus any cast drinks, bottles, or extensions. Cash and major credit cards both accepted. Tipping is not customary in Japan.

  8. Late-night izakaya counter — guest and cast continuing the evening over yakitori and sake
    After 2+ hoursNo extra charge

    Take the night outside (optional)

If you've stayed more than 2 hours and it's after 1 AM, you're welcome to invite one of the cast to continue the evening at a nearby izakaya, ramen counter, or late-night spot — at no extra charge from us. It's the Japanese drinking-culture idea of "nijikai" (the second round): just carrying a good conversation a little further. To be clear — this is purely social, not anything else.

What LUNE is — and isn't

LUNE IS
  • A small, private lounge for genuine conversation, drinks, and karaoke
  • A casual atmosphere — come as you are, no formal dress code
  • Foreigner-friendly with English-speaking staff
  • Transparent on pricing — the price you see is the price you pay
  • Open to a "nijikai" — if you stay more than 2 hours and it's after 1 AM, invite a cast member out to a nearby izakaya or late-night spot together, no extra charge (social only)
LUNE is NOT
  • A kyabakura (formal hostess club with strict dress code and table charges)
  • A "fuzoku" venue — there's no physical contact, no kissing, no touching
  • A walk-in nightclub — every visit is reserved in advance
  • A high-pressure sales environment — host drinks and bottles are completely optional
Different vibes, different nights

LUNE is a different kind of night out

Many of our guests also visit other venues in Tokyo for different vibes — kyabakura for the show, oppai bars (like our sister venue LUXE Shinjuku) for a more direct experience. LUNE is the calm, conversational one. We're not here to compete — we're here for the night you actually want to talk, sing, and unwind in a private suite.
